Static mixers are used in continuous processes and work by distributing, extending and relocating the components throughout the full cross-sectional flow path of the melt. The upstream device provides the energy required for mixing usually a melt pump or screw.
Static mixers are used in many engineering processes where heat and mass transfer operations or chemical reactions are involved. Such processes, in addition to a homogenized distribution of the components require a uniform residence time and where two or more phases are involved intimate dispersing and contacting of the materials.
Our mixers are designed to have a minimal pressure drop and hence impart low shear forces on the components being mixed. Because of the high mixing efficiency the mixers are extremely compact and require no maintenance.
