Madhu Marketing & Services, India - WeighbatchThe Weighbatch DS-20 gravimetric doser is designed as a replacement for typical auger feed volumetric dosers feeding additive directly into the main material stream.
The doser uses a variable speed stepper motor driven metering wheel to feed the additive from a weighed storage hopper. It monitors the loss in weight of this hopper to continually recalibrate itself. Monitoring hopper weight also allows for alarm detection when running out of material or for detecting problems feeding the additive.
The doser can operate in discontinuous "shot" mode, suitable for injection moulding, or in "continuous" mode for normal extrusion use. An extruder RPM input can be fed into the doser to allow automatic compensation of additive rate following extruder speed change.
