Nucleating Agent Masterbatch:
- Product description: Masterbatch contains third generation sorbitol derivative nucleating agent
- Effect of masterbatch: Nucleating agent enhances the clarity of polypropylene products.
- Applications:
Random PPCP requires minimum quantity.
PP Homopolymer requires more quantity.
Thicker products require more quantity.

Nucleating agent provide large number of nucleating sites which results in formation of many small size spherulites increasing clarity by transmission of more light. During injection moulding, cycle time can be reduced by reducing cooling time. PP containing above nucleating agent is recommended to be processed at a melt temperature of 230 Degree C to 240 Degree C and with maximum back pressure in the injection moulding machine.
Other advantage of nucleating agent stiffness improvement in stress crack resistance.
