For Sale - PR - 2205 - Activated Carbon Media

Aim Filtertech Activated Carbon Media is made from variety of high carbon-content substances including coal, wood, coconut shells and bamboo cusses the carbon agent acts like a natural sponge. The carbon agents are highly porous and have a vast amount of surface area (one gram of activated carbon may have a surface area exceeding 1,000 m2). The activated carbon media acts on the following odor substance:

Alcohols, combustion exhausts, antiseptics and soaps, household smells, body odors, liquid fuels, cigarette smoke, musty or stuffy odors, cooking odors, organic chemical odors, cleaning agents, pet odors, cosmetics and perfumes, paint, remodeling and refinishing odors etc. as odor molecules come into contact with the carbon, they are drawn into the carbon and held into place by a variety of forces - similar to a magnetic or gravitational attraction.

Apart form above the media is also perform on gas phase. Test conditions says that
- Toluene Concentration = 80 ppm
- Air Flow Rate = 60 fpm
- Temperature = 70 Degree
- Flat sheet size = 55

In addition, the media is challenged with 80 ppm. of toluene at an airflow of 60 rate fpm.

Attributes & Properties:
Filtration efficiency determined using TSI Model 8130 automated filter tester with 2 percent NaCl particles at 85 liters per minute. - Color: Black - White
