Through slitter we are getting very good
quality material. The machine is in best
condition by mechanically & electronically
both.
- Material to be slitted: BOPP Film – 8 mic to 50 mic
Polyester Film – 8 mic to 65 mic
CPP Film – 15 mic to 75 mic
Paper – 50 GSM to 175 GSM
If the tension requirement is higher, then the
machine speed needs to be reduced.
Machine control Philosophy:
- Un-wind section: The unwind motor is AC motor of Siemens make and controlled by ABB make suitable rating drive. The tension control for this section is through the dancer feedback. The tension can be set through the
MMI (Man Machine Interface) and an E to P convertor is set for tension reference.
- Main Motor: The main motor is AC motor of Siemens make and controlled by ABB make suitable rating drive. An encoder on the non driving end of the motor shall ensure very good speed holding ability. The speed of the drive can be controlled through the MMI or up down push buttons. Jog /Thread/Run facility for the main drive is given on the MMI. The two outfeed drive are driven by the main motor through a common transmission connected to the input of the pneumatic clutch. The output will drive the pinch roll as per the given arrangement.
- Re-winder section: Four different rewinders have Four different AC motors of Siemens make who are controlled by ABB make four different drives. The tension of layon are set through the MMI and are activated by the E/P
convertor.

The MMI have facility to set the maximum diameter at rewind.
- Safety & operational interlocks: All Safety and operational interlocking have been done through the PLC with appropriate sensors to
ensure smooth functioning of the machine.
- PLC: SIEMENS make PLC with 12 inch MMI having digital and analogue I/Os for interlocks and machine operation
- MMI: The settings on MMI are given as below:-
