Several new product developments and research breakthroughs offer potential to improve the thin film photovoltaics (PV) manufacturing process. Generally EVA film is used for encapsulation of PV- an alternative to EVA film has been developed. In another development, colorless polyamide film is used as a flexible superstrate for cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin film PV modules.
